So, last night I announced that I’m leaving Alaska in January to go to Australia for a couple years. Today, I’m asking any and all of you who have pictures and/or videos of me and you to email them to me at dustin@shaggyworshiper.com. I want them for a video that I’m going to make and would like to have as many pictures and videos to work with. So check your cameras, iPhoto libraries, and pictures folders, and video files and send me files that have you and me in them!

These pictures are from the practice we had last night for the latest event in the Heart of Worship series, More than Conquerers:

The actual event is tomorrow at 6:45 at Community Covenant, and as of right now my throat hurts and thus my voice is extremely-not-good. Please pray for the event as a whole, as well as for all of the band members: me, Jesse, Blaine, Jordan, and Ricky that God would just strengthen us and work through us, and that none of what goes on tomorrow would be about us but that it would be about encountering God. Pray also for the intercession for the event and for strength and protection for those who are interceding. And last, pray for the ones who will be attending, that their hearts will be softened and open and ready for what God has for them.

Again, I just want to say that this was an incredible night and I was completely blessed to be leading worship with such an awesome group of guys and worshiping with the awesome young people that were there.

God did amazing stuff and I hope that what went on there carries over to how we live our lives outside of events like this.

Over the last several days, I’ve had a spark and desire to really get into photography. I feel like I’ve always had a pretty good eye for pictures and I took a photography class my freshman year in high school. But lately, I’ve been wanting to take it to the next level and really start taking some shots that make people go, “wow”. (Kinda like what I say when I see some of the amazing shots from people I know and blogs I follow.

Yesterday, before church, I showed up a little early with my camera to snap a few pictures of the stage and gear on it to practice and hopefully develop my photography skills a little bit. Below are I think my favorite pictures from that time.

So it took a month, but here are a couple pictures from The Heart of Worship: Fire by Night. Hopefully, as we do more of these we’ll have more pictures taken and be able to record these events and a decent quality. Until then, enjoy these.
